Several days ago as I left a meeting at a hotel; I desperately gave myself a personal TSA pat down.

I was looking for my keys. They were not in my pockets. A quick search in the meeting room revealed nothing.

Suddenly I realized I must have left them in the car. Frantically, I headed for the parking lot.

My wife has scolded me many times for leaving the keys in the ignition.

My theory is the ignition is the best place not to lose them.

Her theory is that the car will be stolen. As I burst through the door, I came to a terrifying conclusion.

Her theory was right. The parking lot was empty.

I immediately called the police. I gave them my location, confessed that I had left my keys in the car, and that it had been stolen.

Then I made the most difficult call of all, “Honey,” I stammered; I always call her “honey” in times like these.

“I left my keys in the car, and it has been stolen.”

There was a period of silence. I thought the call had been dropped, but then I heard her voice.

“Idiot”, she barked, “I dropped you off!”

Now it was my turn to be silent. Embarrassed, I said, “Well, come and get me.”

She retorted, “I will, as soon as I convince this policeman I have not stolen your car.”

Last day for hunting up here in Port Loring using rifles that is. Bow season still continues on for a few weeks if your into that. My self I am a rifle man and usually after two weeks I have had my fill. This year though I didn’t get out as much as I would have liked as wife, my youngest son all went to visit out oldest son in St Catharine’s for a few days. Next year will have to make sure nothing is booked for them two weeks.

On another note our book signing at Gulliver’s yesterday ended being a great day. We had folks waiting for us when we came in and a steady stream after that. Got to meet a lot of my readers and would like to say thanks to all those that attended. Means a lot to my wife and I. Lot of books were signed let me tell ya. So again. Thanks to all those that took the time to make it a great day. Also thanks goes out to Gulliver’s for making it a great day. Great folks and if your in the need for some great gifts along with books this coming Christmas, this is the store for you. The store is loaded with quality gifts and it is a place that you should really take the time to stop in and browse. You will be surprised I guarantee you that.

Great looking day lies ahead. Not much happening in and around town that has come into my view. Few trucks moving up and down the Highway and regular folks going to pick up their mail and things. Myself I have been working on a novel that I have been wanting to do now for years, called Dark Angel. Fiction this time round, as after all these years of writing short stories of ones self, family or close friends, my mind said it wanted to be let loose. So I am giving it its chance, have to say so far it’s meeting my expectations. I also have started working on a children’s book, At this time I won’t be saying the title, but I will say this, it is going to be a book that all us grandparents or mothers and fathers will want to buy for the young one’s. My wife is about to start on all the illustrations, which will make the book come alive. When will it be out for all to buy? I will keep you up to date as things develop. I don’t think they will be out for spring, but one just never knows what fate brings on to oneself. We are also in the process of doing up E-Books which will be made available in the near future if things work out. My son’ Karl is working diligently on that end of things. Well…tea time here, so have a great day, live the moment my friends, time moves along in ones life fast.
