We lost another good old feller here in Port Loring Ontario and a very good friend.  Buck Mulholland.  Buck and his wife Bea is our neighbour and friends, he will be missed on this side of the fence.  Thought I would share a write up that was done for him. Click Pictures To Enlarge.

Thought I would do up a tribute to Agnes Lee, previous owners of our home here in Port Loring.  Great lady for sure.  Below you can click on the pictures, which will enlarge them for you so you can read about her past life.  For me to say more isn’t necessary, write up below says it all.

This here picture was taken many years ago right here at our home in Port Loring.  Old George was quite a feller for sure along with being self reliant.  Don’t think there was ever a job that came along that he couldn’t remedy.  Here is a picture of his home made saw.  I still got a bit of here at the house.  Old Ice House in the back is still standing too.   Click To Enlarge

Capt. Bill Brooks, Wife and Family At Lumber Camp Possibly 1916-18

Years ago where I was raised there was an old general store that once a week I got to visit.  The two main items on my list while there was the candy sticks and listening to the old fellows that gathered there each day tellin’ their stories.  Also take notice of that old scale on the counter.  I got one identical here at our home and still works great.  This picture of Kelcey’s General Store here in Port Loring brought back a lot of memories for me so thought I would share.  Click on picture to enlarge
