Good morning. Well today is a bit cooler and we might have a brief shower.,  Temperatures will reach a high of  57°f today and then tonight drop to a Lo 38°f.  It will start to warm back up come tomorrow morning and be nice for the weekend.  The moon  will rise at 3:27 AM and then set at  4:49 PM.  Moon Phase today is Solunar Table Moon Phase is 16% percent waning crescent  16%

Name released in fatal collision

ARNSTEIN— A 67-year-old was killed Monday around 1 p.m. when her vehicle veered off Highway 522 at Seagull Lake Road and went into the ditch, according to Ontario Provincial Police. The collision caused the vehicle to flip. According to police, it’s suspected the driver may have been in medical distress at the time of the incident. The driver was identified as Arina Howes of Loring. A post mortem will be conducted later today.  Members of the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigations and Forensic Identifications Units are continuing their investigation.

Black flies are with us and will be until Fathers Day.  if you take the proper precautions you will be just fine.  Weather will start to warm up tomorrow and looks like a great weekend to get that veggie garden planted.  That is my plan for this weekend. Home Made Toothpaste.

 This is a great,toothpaste with out all the chemicals that most commercial kinds have. My wife and I have been using it for years with great success.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon sea salt, finely ground
2 drops of peppermint, spearmint, orange, clove, or cinnamon.
A touch of good spring water or well water without the chemicals is best.

You can also add a touch of coconut oil if you so desire.

Combine ingredients in a small bowl and mix them thoroughly with a toothbrush, your finger, or a small spoon until a smooth, thick paste forms. The paste shouldn’t be too runny; it has to stay on your toothbrush.

Dip your toothbrush into the paste and use as you would regular commercial toothpaste.

Good morning.   Today it will be partly sunny with highs reaching 70°f with a Lo 45°f tonight.   Great looking day shaping up for every one that lives in our area, let me tell ya.   The barometer is holding steady at 29.32 in Hg. The winds are from the South West and calm.  Boy!!! what could be better?   For those that want to try their luck fishing, the old weather stick says the best times to be out there today will be from; 8:00 AM till 11:00 AM, then again from 2:00 PM till 3:00 PM.  The moon will rise at 2:15 AM and set at 1:41 PM.  Moon Phase today is Solunar Table Moon Phase is 42% percent waning crescent  2%  Waning  Crescent.  The sun rose this morning in all her splendor at 5:48 AM and will set at  8:42 PM, giving us here in Port Loring, 14 hrs. 54 mins. of daylight.

Well not to much to report other than it is one great looking day out there.  The black flies are out there now, but if one approaches their day right, they shouldn’t have to deal with them pesky devils to much.   First off one should not wear any bug repellent or smelly colognes.  Also should say if you are used to using these things, which most are now a days, that it takes a good week to get it out of your system.  Best way is to use baking soda to wash your hair with and if you have to have some soap use Ivory hand soap, with no additives in it.  Do that an  maybe eat a bit of garlic with your food each day and you won’t have any problems with Black Flies. All in how you want to deal with things, simple as that.  Also would like to wish all those Mothers or Mothers to be out there the very best on this Mothers Day Weekend.  Hope you all have a great day and get some time to sit out and take in some sunshine with your feet up.
